We would like to announce that Jules Dassin the Founder of the Melina Mercouri Foundation bequeathed in his will, which was published recently, five hundred thousand (500,000) euros for the continuation of the scholarship award “Melina Mercouri – Jules Dassin” to postgraduate students. Further more he bequeathed a hundred thousand (100,000) euros to Doctors Without Frontiers (Athens branch), all his books on theatre and cinema to the Theatre Museum and one work of art to the Benaki Museum. Jules Dassin has appointed attorney at law Mr. Christos Zouraris to be the executor of his will.
